In February of this year, the Down East community lost 9 members to a tragic airplane crash on Core Sound, Atlantic NC. During this time I have watched a community hurt and grieve and, even through the pain, embrace those that were hurting the most; gathering together to heal and create a legacy. As I reflected on those friends and family lost, I looked out over the sound and it seemed that even the sky was crying.
