Just Waiting on a Boat

I was in Atlantic and walking through Clayton Fulcher Seafood early one morning when I noticed the sun streaming across the floor, just hitting the conveyer belt. In my mind, I saw men and women on either side of the culling table culling fish into the baskets at their feet. The chatter of voices and the humming of machines were everywhere and I could almost smell the salt and fresh fish in the air. Now that image seems frozen in time, poised and waiting for another boat to arrive.
